Outlaw Grips makes grips for any style single action grip frame of the 1800’s. They are made for those people who want and appreciate an authentically made grip by a craftsman. All grips are made using traditional methods in shaping, sanding, and finishing. These methods produce some of the finest grips you can put your hands on. If you want the best that money can buy, this is it.

The original “Outlaw Grip” is designed specifically for Cowboy Action Shooting. It is specially shaped and finished to fit your hand better, resist rolling/slipping under recoil, and it is authentic in appearance. The key to this grip is in the finish. It “breathes” so it will not become slippery in your hand with moisture. It actually stays in place better. Checkering is not needed, plus it hides the beauty of the wood. For those of you who want a thicker grip, a thinner one, a bevel on the bottom or a display finish, Outlaw Grips will take care of you too. Please also make note that the prices you see here are for custom made grips that are hand fit to your grip frame. When you buy pre-made grips through the mail, you can easily be looking at $50.00 and up for fitting.

Twenty five hardwoods, burls and elephant ivory are available. The hardwoods and burls are carefully selected for their stability, color and unique grain. After the woods have been milled and dimensioned, they have cured for a minimum of one year. This insures the grips I make won’t crack, shrink or warp. Premium pre-ban elephant ivory is also available. An “Affidavit of Origin” certificate is available upon request.

Outlaw Grips are not mass produced off a single pattern like so many others. A pattern is created from your grip frame and then the grips are made from this pattern. Like fine furniture they are made with care, patience and an understanding of quality. This means that your grips will fit the grip frame perfectly and that both sides will match in tone and appearance.
